Ajuntament de Barcelona: The city council’s trilingual site (CAT, SP, EN) with a useful city map and all kinds of info databases.

Barcelona Forum 2004: Information on the much-heralded but in-the-end anticlimactic Forum Barcelona 2004. Time will tell if the massive infraestructure and real estate investments were a great benefit to Barcelona or merely to real estate speculators.

Turisme de Barcelona: The city's tourist portal (EN, FR, CAT, SP) with with an assorted collection of useful, albeit a bit dry, information.

Wikipedia on Barcelona : Excellent article on Barcelona continually updated by Internet users with information on history, geography plus useful links.

Leisure:

l'Aquarium Barcelona: Barcelona's very own acquarium. Mon-Fri 9:30am-9pm, Sat 9:30am-9:30 pm and until 11pm July and August. Adults €14.50, children €9.50.

LaNetro: (SP) This site is helpful for all kinds of information from restaurants to hotels to cinema listings, and the city map is quite good too. Don't expect too much from the leisure pages.

Teatre BCN: Like most of the stage productions in Barcelona, this site is in Catalan. A good and competent research base, as it offers an agenda with critical reviews from the local press. There are also readers’s polls, news and insider-info.

Professionals:

Production Paradise (EN) web directory for international photographers, producers, actors or models based or busy in Barcelona and other cities. Learn how to become a model or where to book the catering for your next Hollywood movie.

Port de Barcelona. The website of Barcelona's Port Authority, of interest to businesses, students, and ship logistics operators.

Expatriates
